It's voting time! Yep, it's that time of year again when every organization on capus asks for you to nominate yourself or your friends for positions on the executive board, and SWE is no exception.

Please go to the nomination form by April 13 (Wednesday before Carnival) and submit your nominations!

Project Nanhi Kali

While enrollment of girls in schools is improving marginally in India, drop out levels remain alarmingly high. The project called ‘Nanhi Kali’ meaning a small bud, has steadily provided multitudinal support to a growing number of these school girls, including material support like uniforms, socks and shoes, school bags and stationery right up to more concrete academic assistance through study support classes.

Donations can be made by going to the girl store website where you can individually purchase items required for a girl to go to school.

The SWE Freshman First Program is hosting the second annual SWEet Week! It will be held March 14-19th. This week is meant to celebrate SWE with many fun activities, events, and food!

We are looking for 15-20 individuals who want to help out with SWEet Week. Each of the five days will have a different theme, and will be chaired by 2-3 SWE members, who will be responsible for all the planning. This is a great way to get involved with SWE, giving you great leadership experience. The SWEet week committee is open to all SWE members but freshman and sophomore members who are looking for leadership positions in SWE next year are highly encouraged to participate.
